Facebook is a renowned social networking service and website launched in February 2004 operating with more than 600 million active users. Here users may create a personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages, including automatic notifications when they update their profile. Almost everyone irrespective of ages started using this site. To make the access more simple to everyone, Bharti Airtel started a new service which allows any mobile phone user to access Facebook for just a rupee a day. The magnificence of this service is that it works on virtually any GSM mobile phone, even if it is not internet-enabled. It makes use of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data service protocol to communicate with service provider’s computers. We can expect other GSM service providers also to follow the same route shortly.
